@date_1853_01_27the honorary degree of M.D. at the approaching commencement. Dr. Cornell then read, to the Faculty, portions of his Valedictory Address to the graduating Class. Then adjourned. David J. Johnson M.D. Dean. Memoranda. The 3d annual session of the Female Medical College of Pennsylvania, commenced on Monday Sept. 13th 1852 and closes on Thursday Jan. 27th 1853. The Faculty was constituted as follows:- Joseph S. Longshore M.D., Prof. of Obstetrics. Abraham Livergy M.D., Prof. of Practice. David J. Johnson M.D., Prof. of Chemistry & Toxicology. William M. Cornell M.D., Prof. of Physiology. Enoch C. Rolfe M.D., Prof. of Surgery. Ellwood Harvey M.D., Prof. of Therap & Mat. Med. Seth Rumcoast M.D., Prof. of Anatomy. The Introductory Lectures were delivered as follows:- Monday Sept. 13th, at 4 P.M., - Dr. Harvey, Tuesday Sept. 14th, at 4 P.M., - Dr. Cornell, " " " ", at 5 P.M., - Dr. Rolfe. The regular lectures commenced on Wednesday Sept. 15th 1852 and ended on Tuesday Jan. 25th 1853. The 2nd Annual Commencement was held in the Musical Fund Hall on Thursday Jan. 27th 1853 at 11 A.M. The exercises were opened with prayer by the Rev. Mr. Cheney, and the degrees were conferred by the President of the College, Prof. C. D. Cleveland.
