An meeting of the faculty was held at the office of the Dean the minutes of the previous meeting were read and adopted. On motion Resolved that Dr M W Dickerson be recommended to the Corporators to fill the vacancy in the Chair of Chemistry for the present session Carried On motion of Dr Longshore Resolved that the Dean be authorised to sell and issue the tickets of the Professors in the Institution Carried An motion adjourned
No. 6. Philad. Sept. 11th 1852. The Minutes of the last meeting having been read and adopted, the Dean announced that the Committee appointed to investigate his accounts had not yet acted, in consequence of Dr. Moseley's having ceased to be connected with the Institution. The Committee was continued, Dr. Livezey being appointed in Dr. Moseley's place. The regulations offered by Dr. Johnson at the previous meeting, were adopted. The Faculty also adopted the following additional regulation:- Regulation No. 7. "No Professor shall sell his ticket, unless the applicant exhibit the Matriculating ticket." Dr. Livezey read, from Dr. J. Emerson Kent, a letter asking for the admission of his wife as a Beneficiary. The regulation requiring 30 days' notice having been waived, the application was granted. Then adjourned. David I. Johnson M.D. Dean. No. 7. Philad. Sept. 17th 1852. The minutes of the last meeting having been read and adopted, Dr. Livezey, from the Committee on the Dean's accounts, reported that a balance existed in favour of the Dean of $2.83. An application to be received as a Beneficiary, was read from Miss Caroline C. Thayer, of Lancaster, Erie Co., N.Y.; and the Rule requiring 30 days' notice having been waived, it was agreed to receive her as such.
