Overview

The Mix vs. Oxx Case Costs and Related Documents Collection is a digitized assemblage of court‑related financial records produced by the New Haven County Superior Court and archived by the Connecticut State Library. It is part of the NHSC BAAI project, which indexes New Haven Superior Court files that involve Black, African American, and Indigenous individuals. Background

The NHSC BAAI project was launched to digitize and describe court records that illuminate the legal experiences of Black, African American, and Indigenous people in Connecticut. The Mix vs. Oxx case, a civil dispute between the parties Mix and Oxx, was selected for its illustrative cost structure and its relevance to the project’s focus. The Connecticut State Library, acting as the state repository, collected the case documents and created the digital collection in 2025.
