That in Nov 1773 she was married to Mr. Sherman Jun of S Nutkaven towards whom she has been true and faithful as his Wife, since Intermarriage &c has repeatedly been guilty of Adultery, particularly in October 1778 with several Persons in Albany in the State of New York. And on the first of May 1779 I Wm went away from your Petitioner & has never since returned, but has since that time been a prisoner of war, in company on or about the first of Nov 1779. Wherefore yours Petition-er humbly prays your Honors to grant her a divorce from I Wm & discharge her from a Marriage Contract.
