@file_a092_001_213_jpg:file -> depicts -> @faculty_meeting_oct_31_1864:eventthe Autumn of 1862, that she attended the course of lectures for 1862-03 in the New England Free Med. College which course included no lectures upon Surgery—that she entered the New York Infirmary in the Autumn of 1863 & had since attended the practice of that Institution & the Surgical Clinics of the DeWitt Dispensary. These statements coupled with the inquiry whether she could be received as a second course student of our College with the hope of presenting herself for examination. The same inquiry was made also for a friend who had enjoyed the same advantages with the addition of one year's study with a Physician. On notice of Dr. Kerr it was resolved that the spirit of our regulations had been so far complied with by Miss Lillie & her friend & their own compliance with the latter had been so far impossible to them that we might—shall admit them to our session with the hope on their part of graduating but with no hope of favor in examination.

The Dean reported the contemplated suspension of lectures at the Penn Medical University & the applications on the part of the Faculty of that Institution, for admission for the students of that School to attend our present course of lectures. The matter was entrusted to the Dean to make such arrangements as he should think proper. Adjourned. E.B. Cleveland Sec.
