- Marie Curie was a Polish-French physicist and chemist. She discovered radium and polonium. She won two Nobel Prizes, one in Physics in 1903 and one in Chemistry in 1911. She was born in Warsaw and later moved to Paris to study at the Sorbonne. Her husband Pierre Curie collaborated with her on radioactivity research.
