Dec. 16th, 1857. Present: Dr. Harvey Kerr, Bichard & Hurst Dr. Harvey reported that the Thesis of Miss R. Moon & Susanna Hayburn referred to him were very well written. Dr. Kerr reported the Thesis of Hanna W. Brinton referred to him as tolerably fair. Dr. Bichard reported the Thesis of Phebe Wilson as very respectably. That of Elizabeth D. Cohen as badly spelled and grammatical. Dr. Hurst reported the Thesis of Mary Scarlet & correct & respectably written. Resolved it is expedient that certain changes be made in the Faculty, and that we recommend the corporators to appoint as follows: Dr. Harvey as Prof. of Chemistry & Toxicology Dr. Hurst as a Obstetrics & Dir. of Midw. Dr. Bichard as Practice of Medicine Dr. Cleveland as Anatomy & Histology and Demonstrator of Anatomy Also Dr. Bartholomew Fussell as Emeritus Professor of Practice of Medicine. Adjourned till to-morrow E. Fussell Dean
