Oct 12, 1863 A special meeting of the faculty present: Profs. Sample, Kerr, Preston, Scarlett & Cleveland. A communication was rec'd from Dr. Fussell stating that in consequence of the death of a sister he should be unable to deliver the general introduction lecture on the 14th inst. as appointed. In lieu of this it was agreed that Dr. Garrison should give his official introduction lecture on that occasion, appending to it such general remarks as might seem adapted to the occasion. The treasurer stated that she had in hand the sum of $447 which it was agreed should be divided equally with such sum as should be derived from her aficiano students and any such by the Prof. as should be entitled to share in the distribution. Oct 28, 1863 Special meeting of the faculty held at the College—present Prof. Furnell, Preston, Lanlatt & Cleveland. A new schedule for lectures was proposed & adopted if approved by absent members. The Dean presented the case of Miss Platts who had expected to attend another college upon a scholarship & was provided with limited funds for the tickets of our college. On motion it was agreed that she should receive its tickets on the payment of one half their amount & giving her note for the remainder payable at her convenience to the treasurer. Miss May was also mentioned as entitled to be used on a scholarship. On motion adjourned. E. W. C. Cleveland Sec. Oct 31, 1863 The schedule for lectures is approved by the Faculty. E. W. C. Sec.

Aug 11, 1863 A meeting of the Faculty was held at the College—present—Profs. Russell, Preston, Boates, Scarlett & Cleveland. On motion it was resolved that Dr. Temple be called upon for a report from the Invercular Committee. It was also resolved that Dr. Boates be requested to report as soon as practicable with reference to the collection of articles for purchase by the College from Dr. Furrall's Alumni.
