## Overview
This entity is a textual segment extracted from a transcript of the *Minute Book of the Faculty of the Female Medical College of Pennsylvania*, covering lines 30 to 91 of the source document. It records faculty meeting minutes and administrative decisions related to lecture scheduling, room assignments, and institutional governance during the 1850–1851 academic session. The segment was extracted on January 28, 2026, from the processed text file *drexel_test_processed.txt* and is part of the [Test Collection](arke:01KG2T49K0H5GDRB0G4YDTPG8H).
## Context
The text originates from the administrative records of the Female Medical College of Pennsylvania, an institution dedicated to the medical education of women in the mid-19th century. It follows a segment titled [Board of Trustees Communication](arke:01KG32DSG30FVDVDXZG73NHEEZ) and precedes the [Meeting on Nov 18, 1850](arke:01KG32DRKTT9VDVVPKGV3W5AWM), indicating it is part of a chronological series of faculty deliberations. The entries reflect the operational concerns of the faculty, including staffing, finances, and facility management.
## Contents
The segment details the scheduled lecture times for faculty members at the college, listing:
- Prof. Moseley (9–10 a.m.)
- Prof. McCloskey (10–11 a.m.)
- Prof. Gleason (11 a.m.–12 p.m.)
- Prof. Dickeson (12–1 p.m.)
- Prof. Longshore (3–4 p.m.)
- Prof. Chaloner (4–5 p.m.)
It also documents several resolutions, including the procurement of 250 matriculation tickets at faculty expense, the hiring of Henry Bimbaum and his wife as sanitarian for $200, and the leasing of the building at 229 Arch Street in Philadelphia. The faculty authorized the use of rooms for student instruction when not in use by faculty and permitted ticket distribution to Miss Taylor under a payment plan. Later entries address rental policies for lecture rooms, including rates for external groups like the Phenological Society, and appointments of faculty to medical and committee roles. The segment provides insight into the logistical and financial management of a pioneering institution in women’s medical education.
