- board of Trustees. On motion it was resolved that the Dean communicate to the board of trustees the resignation of Dr. R. Burr & request them to file the vacancy. On motion it was resolved that the announcement of the college be published (to the number of 5000 copies) as soon as the faculty was completed. Adjourned Dr. Dickeson having been nominated for the chair of Materia Medica the Trustees were pleased to elect that gentleman to the vacancy.
Philada Augt 27th 1850
A meeting of the Faculty of the Female Medical College of Penn was held at the Exchange, at 7 1/2 o'clock. Prof. Longshore was appointed chairman, in the absence of the Dean Prof. McCloskey. Prof. Chaloner moved that a committee be appointed to confer with the Trustees in regard to the necessary alterations in the college building. Resolved that the plan submitted for the first story be referred to Prof. Gleason & Mosely. Resolved that the fitting up of the upper room be referred to Prof. Dickeson, Chaloner and Longshore in connection with the board of Trustees - accepted.
Resolved that as William J. Mullen Esq. the president of this college has become security for the rent of the college building, he is hereby

A meeting of the Faculty was held at the office of the Dean. The minutes of the two previous meetings were read & adopted. Committee on drugs reported that they had received a donation of several articles from Messrs Bullock & Crenshaw Draygess - cor of 6th & Arch. On motion it was resolved that the committee be requested to present the thanks of the Faculty to Messrs B & C for their valuable donation carried and committee continued. The arrangement of the Lecture house was then taken up and arranged under the following. Schule. There being no other business the meeting adjourned.
